Deshi cow or gau is unparalleled ecosystem in itself. Hence it is give the position of a mother. Its also said that the Desi cow hosts 34 crore gods in itself.
This cow is also know the "Bos Indicus" is full of amazing aspects.
There are more than 40 different sub species of this variety in the Indian Subcontinent.
While discussing about having cows, we were suggested to have the Gir species. But, basis our research we decided to go with the local species. Let the same give lesser milk.
This sub species is knows as Konkan Kapila. This is well versed with climate of this area. It's easier to maintain them in this area than any other species. The nature also develops species of plant and animal kingdom to suit the surrounding requirements.
We gave special place to the Desi cow as first step to developing KrishiYog. We were blessed with 4 unwanted cows from a small village called Chinchwadi near us.
Our small farmer Maitri named this cows Kashi, Kanchi, Avantika and Mathura. A small male calf or Nandi which came with Kanchi was called Sugandhi.
